About our NGO
Association For Social Health in India, West Bengal branch (ASHI,WB) is a renowned Non-Govt. Organisation (NGO), registered under West Bengal Societies Act XXVI of 1961. It started in 1965, under the able leadership of eminent social activist Late (Dr.) Phulrenu Guha, known for her tireless efforts for upliftment of women, rehabilitation of distressed, unprivileged and exploited. Under her chosen path, ASHI, WB has successfully rehabilitated women, seeking escape from life of oppression & exploitation.
The challenge is tough, but a little help from you can make a world of difference in the lives of the exploited girls, rescued women and elderly ladies. Support us in our efforts to implement our long-term, sustainable initiatives of improving social health in our country. It is an appeal to all socially conscious individuals and well meaning organisations to come forward for donations.
All domestic donations are exempted from Income Tax under Section 80G of Income Tax Act. 1961.
